Brendan's Ultrasound

Brendan had an ultrasound on his kidneys last week and we get the results back on Friday. This was just a checkup and it seemed that everything looked good from I could tell. He weighed in at 20 lbs 4 oz! We even turned his big boy car seat forward facing today because he passed the 20 lbs weight requirement.
Last weekend we took Brendan up to Timberline for some snowy winter fun! Enjoy the pics!

This was just a funny pic of Bren having breakfast the other day

I know you've been dying to see the Cano Thanksgiving in AZ, sorry it took so long to post!

Brendan loved turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy!

Brendan at 9 Months

Our little guy is getting big! Brendan was very low on the weight percentile scale so we have been on a mission this last month to fatten him up. He weighed in at 18 lbs 2.6 ounces at his 9 month checkup on 9/28/07. This put him back up where the pediatrician wanted him on the percentile scale. He went from the 5th percentile to the 13th percentile. Brendan is a very healthy boy and is right on track according to his doctor. He is very mobile as well! He can army crawl pretty fast and is curious about everything!

We have been busy as usual with work and travel. Nathan went to a real estate conference in Las Vegas in July and went on his annual Ducks Unlimited goose hunting trip to Canada in September. I recently got back from my annual trip to New York with Shelly. I had a blast like usual but had a really hard time being away from Pooks for 4 days!

Enjoy some pics from the last couple months!

Brendan at 6 Months

Brendan is now 6 months and 3 weeks old! He is the happiest and smiliest baby boy (we are very lucky)! He weighed in at 15 pounds 2 ounces at his 6 month checkup and is healthy.

The Pookertons have been very busy this summer. We went to Idaho in June with the Cano's & Kurtz's for Cousin Shyla's wedding. We also enjoyed the fourth of July up at the Whidbey Copacabana again this year. Brendan fell asleep during the fire work show put on by the boys (Nathan, Gerrick, and Josh) but everyone had a great time.
See below for some fun pictures from the last couple months!

Brendan's 4 Month Checkup & First Trip to the Zoo

Brendan had his 4 month Pediatrician checkup last Friday and she says he is perfectly developing physically and socially. He weighed in at 14 pounds 6 ounces and is 25 inches long.

Brendan went to the zoo for the first time last Friday. I don't think he was really into it but it was fun for me, my girlfriends, and their kiddies! See pics below!

Sorry for the Lapse in Pookerton Coverage

The Pookertons have been MIA due to surgeries, recovering, and a trip to sunny Arizona. We have been through a lot since our last post but are now doing great and back to normal life.

We went down to Arizona at the end of April to recover with sun therapy and help the Cano's find a second home. Brendan had his first plane ride which included a certificate and photo op with the pilot! He did great and slept most the time. Brendan had a blast on the golf courses and even got to go swimming for the first time.

Brendan had his kidney surgery on May 1st. He was in the hospital for two nights and got to go home earlier than expected. He has a large incision on his left side but it is healing wonderfully and he doesn't seem to be in any pain. He was the best little boy in the hospital despite being hooked up to about 5 tubes/monitors. His post-op appointment went well last Friday and his kidney should now be all fixed. We will have ultrasounds every couple months to monitor his kidney function and make sure everything is going well.

Enjoy our pics from the last month! Brendan looks so cute in his yellow hospital gown!
